luckycatfay, Eilean Ban is a small island about 6acres in size, and the bridge uses it as a 'stepping stone' to get to the mainland. It's a tiny place and doesn't have any permanent inhabitants.☺

We spent a week there, and stayed a stones' throw away from the beach where 'Ring of Bright Water' author Gavin Maxwell had his cottage. It's a ruin now, just the outline in stone, but still a place of pilgrimage there
