they don't have to be boiled to be called goober peas. there's a civil was song called "Eating goober peas". peanuts are not actually a nut but a legume.

We call peanuts “goobers” regardless of whether or not they’ve been boiled. They’re delicious either way. When they’re boiled they remind me of a garbanzo bean.

boil peanuts I like them,they are good to snack on, and they are healthy too. Peanut butter is made from peanuts. So much can be made from peanuts ,cookies, ice cream, use in salads etc.

Family tried boiled peanuts when we were on holiday in Florida. I will be forever grateful to America for introducing me to Root Beer and Peanut Butter Reeces pieces but we were all in agreement - the boiled peanuts were disgusting!
