SharingCity, different gas (argon is the normal 2nd gas) and they DO have a phosphorescent coating. In fact, most colors of neon (other than thd orange red mentioned) have such a coating.

Messed up this one for a simple reason--I have seen neon signs in a thousand different colors. I should've focused on 'noble gas' and questioner should've added (to color) 'without additives.'
