history sometimes is only told by one side. one sided history is half or non of the information. As the truth is what we are all looking for.

Player #3354792, gravesend is so called because during the great plague which stemmed from the slums of london and further on. All the dead and their graves ended when it got to the place where they then aptly named GRAVESEND GRAVES END.

BernieBoomer, only one subject was right in the statement you made., she didn't save John Smith. However her mother's name wasn't Pocahontas, it was here nickname. And the craziest fact is that she wasn't kidnapped, her family, the Patawomeck tribe, gave her to John Rolph, that's not spelled right I think. I know this because I come from the tribe, the same as Harry Truman. We can't be part of it because the family moved west.

I lived in Newport News and in Williamsburg, VA. I visited both Colonial Williamsburg (which has original buildings preserved) and Jamestown often. It was nice to see up close a part of our history as a nation. Jamestown was the first or one of the first settlements (that survived) to be established in the New Word.
