Nutshell, He was in his day one of the most dexterous and celebrated of the famous California drivers ranking with Foss, Hank Monk, and George Gordon, and it was an honor to be striven for to occupy the spare end of the driver's seat when the fearless Charley Parkhurst held the reins of a four-or six-in hand... Last Sunday [December 28, 1879], in a little cabin on the Moss Ranch, about six miles from Watsonville, Charley Parkhurst, the famous coachman, the fearless fighter, the industrious farmer and expert woodman died of the cancer on his tongue.

Johnny, you are thinking about extremists which also exist in Christianity, if the US and many European countries didn't disrupt these countries in the Middle East, Africa, and South America for personal gain they would be much more developed and take a look at pictures of women in some middle eastern countries in the 70's they could be more liberal than some places in the us now

Very good question. Especially since so many kids are being taught that Islam is kind and accepting. You want to see women’s suffrage again in the US? Keep forgetting to be honest to the children until it’s too late for them to see what they’ve done to themselves.

My grandmother hated the fact that she was related Susan. My mom got her a set of the coins and she refused to accept them.I think the family didn't like her friends.I don't really know. Somethings were never discussed. Like having a relative who was probably a lesbian. The only thing I do remember was Susan spent all her family's money on the cause.

KC, she never saw her work for women's voting come to fruition but her support for blacks did allow her to see them get to vote. it took another 50 years before she would have had the opportunity.

I'm glad that women can vote in the United States. I don't understand why it was illegal for women to vote. Freedom to do anything is usually fought with blood, sweat, and tears throughout history. Why was she viewed as trying to ruin the institution of marriage in the 1800s?
