Who said "One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind"?
Correct answer: Neil Armstrong
Stevemeister316
Who really said Buzz Lightyear?
Ripplerock
All it proves is that we can do it. Very expensive brag!! How about solving the issues on this world (earth) first?
Egghead 73191
I remember watching this on TV with my father when I was 14. It is the last thing we did together. He died August 11. Very good memory for me. I can't believe these puddingheads that clain it never happened.

I think it’s sad we don’t explore this planet more then we have other planets, only 3% of the ocean has been discovered, we know more stuff about space then we do our own ocean.
Michellecasson2004
Kamala Denise Cook, i think it is sad that we stopped our nasa program in the u.s. There is still so much to know and see in space and on other planets. The only way to know what they are about is to study and explore them!
Tatsake
I agree with Ripplerock, landing on the moon was essentially (and please excuse my French) a whose **** is bigger competition between the U.S. and Russia. Now, as the capability of the Earth to support human life is destroyed by cancerous imbalances, humans look to Mars as a hope for our future. I believe we would be wise to honor and nourish the planet we currently live on before trying our hand at another one.
Extra Sharp
Explore and discover a way to fix the planet we all step on now instead of billions wasted on another, to which we cant.
JasonR1972
Before we step to wrecking some other world, we must make stable and livable THIS one we barely understand yet live upon now.
To explore is fine but, we need to keep our Home.
Trebonator417
I'm pretty sure the first person to step foot on the Moon, was Alice from The Honeymooners.
Melekslair
I was a kid, watching on a black and white tv. It's a powerful thing when you find out the entire planet was staring at the same thing-at the same time.

Trebonator417, the first person to set foot on the moon,& on Mars, was a member of the Annanagee.Where do you think the face of Mars came from?Whom do you think made that 5 sided pyramid on the cydonia plateau?
Player #145106978
Tatsake, Humans will never live on Mars;the problems of producing food, oxygen,& fuel to leave the planet once you're there, are too great.Mars is too hostile an environment to ever be settled by a colony.

Ripplerock, actually the space program has led to all kinds of advancements for issues on this world such as memory foam (originally named temper foam), freeze-dried food, firefighting equipment, emergency "space blankets", cochlear implants, imaging equipment to name a few. It’s been well worth it.

Egghead 73191, I'm in NCFL (North Central Florida), and we were also watching, and, actually were in Titusville, where Cape Kennedy is, watching a launch. I also can't believe that people are claiming it never happened !!
