Silt also happens to be in Bays. I live in NYC and they were talking for a while about dredging up the silt in the bay that LaGuardia Airport is on.

Also in bays. In NYC they have spoken about dredging the silt near the airports where the bays are. They figured that dredging it up would create more of a pollution problem than leaving it alone.

A Silt Fence is used to keep "Silt" out of the storm drains and ditches and going to a major body of water. It would more be the consistency of water and dirt(sand). I should have not gotten that one wrong
