An excellent organization! Found out they can find anyone in the military. Forgot to let my grandma know I deployed and next thing I know the commander was making me use his personal phone to let her know I was fine :)

Netty, is the staff expected to work for free ? It would be impossible to run such a large organization with only volunteers. Also - rent/mortgage, insurance, supplies, shipping, transport…

Jackie , It’s interesting that when Katrina hit the Red Cross was begging for money BEFORE they lift a finger to help anyone, also they collected a few million but only used part of it to help the people which they want you to pay back! No, I’d never donate to them a penny!!!

Alexandra Kendall, what I just read said .90. cents. I don't know though. I don't give through red cross when a disaster hits from Georgia thru Louisiana and Florida they TN. we have local people that gather supplies that are needed and loans them into trucks, trailers and personal vehicles and go and deliver them to the local shelters because we found out years ago that not all went to the people. just like the scouts barely make any money from the cookie or popcorn sales so I always donate money to the local troops.
