I learned about Shroedinger’s cat by Sheldon on Big Bang Theory 🤪

Player Elf Counsel, It was a thought experiment. He never actually put a cat in a box etc. He just asked what would happen if you did.

I love quantum theory... there's so much still to be discovered & so many things they don't understand. Like how quantum computers work, since they don't store data normally (in bits), they can store multiple things in the same place (using quibits)... and that storage place only fully exists when it's being looked at - kinda like Shrödingers cat. Cool huh?

thank you Sheldon Cooper for teaching everyone about this. I actually got the right answer because of you ! (fictional character I know ) !!

symtyms smart😎, This is a theoretical cat . Whilst it is both dead and alive at the same time (until it isn’t) Schroedingers Cat does not actually exist. It is only a thought process. No cats were experimented on or harmed in the process

kardnut, Theoretically, it's both until you open the box and look at it! Interesting paradox...

ChampionNymph37634, I see what you are saying, but the fact that you can't see the cat implies that it could be dead, but it could still be alive. No one really knows unless they open the box. If the

It would have to be a soundproofed metal box to avoid detection. Cats don't go quietly!

Very similar to; if a tree falls in the woods and no one is around, does it actually make a sound?

unless the box is air tight or placed in a vacuum and doesn't permit any odor to pass through, you can tell if the cat is dead by its rotting 🤣

you don't have to know anything about physics to know that the cat is dead for sure - no cat van survive for more than 80 years in a box

That has always bothered me. No the cat alive or dead in the box. Because we can't see it doesnt make it not either one.
