Roxanne, We had a close friend named Les, who died of esophageal cancer. And, Yes, he, too, smoked and drank a lot. He just lived a troubled life. I just hope he and Mr. Bogart, as well as others who have died from cancer, are in God's memory. That way, He can resurrect them in His due time. Remember, this life is Not All there is! In the meantime, RIP, Everybody who's died from cancer.

As a registered nurse, I can tell you esophageal cancer is one of the worst ways to die of an illness.
