Hoffy, Reagan did not inherit any financial mess. In capitalism, you have supply and demand. The big corporations supply goods to the people that need it or demand. Reagan started supply side economics. He took from the people who needed the supplies and gave huge tax breaks to the biggest corporations. Obviously, the media being owned by huge corporations loved this. Every president and congress since have given huge tax benefits to the rich. In a reverse, Robin Hood Way. Most of the financial problems, including the top 1% owning and controlling more and more, every year started under Reagan.
