wonder if Walt would be sad that the price of going to his Theme parks have cut out the average working man and their families from being able to take their children to his parks?

Vina Vandervierf, Walt always said he would keep it affordable for everyone to enjoy. He would be so disappointed now!😩

Pchblsom, now it takes a years savings for a family of four to spend just one day. Sad, prices have to be high to pay people to work there.

When I was a kid I called it Dizzyland. I thought it was called that because the rides made people dizzy.

Worked there for Pacific Bell at the circular theater! Very fun! Remember going underground to have my favorite Monte Cristo sandwich, there's a whole city underneath the park.

Went there when I was a kid, Went to Disneyworld as an adult 30 years ago..... Can't afford to Go now. I applied for a job at Disneyworld in the early 90s for A Diesel Mechanic, They Start you Off at minimum wage no matter what! Or what position. Unreal

Vina Vandervierf, I agree! The price of admission is outrageous! Too bad there is so much greed in the world. Walt would be so disappointed!!

I wish everyone who wants to take their family to a Disney park would complain to them so they would understand how angry people are. It's ridiculous how expensive it is now!!

In Ontario, Canada, we have Canada's Wonderland and the Canadian National Exhibition (aka CNE or the Ex). Both are great places and pretty reasonable price-wise.

When I went there as a child, you bought a booklet with different colored coupons needed as entry tickets to the various attractions. All of Main Street required "A" tickets, the most popular rides required "E" tickets, and there were only 3: Submarine, Matterhorn, and the Monorail. Every once in awhile, you may hear someone describe a wonderful experience as "That was an E-ticket". Alas, that phrase has gone by the wayside.

I know Disneyland holds a special place in the hearts of many, but I have never had any desire to go there. Even as a kid all I could imagine were long lines, and overpriced everything.

An I just saw the 50 year celebration on TV an I got to give Walt a lot of credit for doing what he done, along with his older brother to carry it on for him. May they both rest in peace.😇

Walt Disney would also be sad because whoever is running the place would not allow The word GOD on the legacy wall. They said it would offend other people. So sad that our world might be offended by the word GOD. People need to protest by just not going there. Money talks!!!

went there two years ago. just 2 of us. spent over 500 dollars and it was so crowded that we only could ride two rides because the lines were so long. now we go to Knotts Berry Farm and for under 500 dollars we got two annual passes and parking pass and food and drink passes, besides being able to go on the rides which are far better. Disneyland lost a customer.

Vina Vandervierf, I make less than 1/2 the national average & have been two times (with my children). Seems to me that Disney wanted 1st class entertainment more than serving impoverished children but I see your point.
