SueMommy, learn about what that actually means. It has nothing to do with separating, or not including one in e other. It's to protect that no one of them GOVERNS the other. Also, it's not only Christianity that believes there is an almighty God. Even if there are others. :)

I'm a Christian and it infuriates me that this phrase was added to.our currency! One of the reasons America was created was to have freedom FROM religion. The accepted religion in England was dictated by the King or Queen at the time, and colonists wanted the ability to worship, or not, as they chose. This is also why the separation of church and state was a basic tenet of our nation, something sadly ignored more and more these days.
