My mother, born in 1918, read the book when she was pregnant and her daughter was born. She said if I wanted a girl that I needed to read "Gone With the Wind" when I was pregnant. Blessings, my baby girl was born In 1967. Thank you mama.

QuizLord, That "Bonnie Blue flag" was the first flag of the southern Confederacy. You might want to be careful where you fly it...

Player #19718431, they are trying to erase our past but can’t be done. It also shouldn’t be done. Can’t have a future without a past it’s what makes us what we are today and I don’t care what anyone says we are a great nation.

In Gone with they had to shoot the Burning of Atlanta scene First, It was in their contract because they had to clear the back lot/set. What they burned was the Wall from "King Kong",,,talk about killing 2 birds with 1 stone.

Wendell Thomas, I HAD NO IDEA THE THE FOX THEATER IN RIVERSIDE WAS THE FIRST TO SHOW "GONE WITH THE WIND"! I am a born, and raised, and retired Los Angeles and San Bernadino counties boy. I am so ashamed to not know that fact, particularly at my age. (Not that I did not trust you, but I looked it up and, son-of-a-gun, you are completely correct.) Thank you my friend!

Lau 1505, I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve read the book beginning at 14 years old. The movie was where I fell in love with Clark Gable. Standing at the bottom of the stairs at Twelve Oaks.

My mom loved this movie so I had to see it! Of course back then, you couldn't just turn on a computer or tablet and find things you wanted to watch, or buy or rent a copy. So I had to wait a long time to see it. And much later on, after VCRS first came out and then they released this movie on VHS, my Daddy bought this elaborate set of VHS tapes for my Mom since she loved it so much. Good memories 🙂 And incidentally, we live in GA, south of Atlanta. They have some historical sites related to this story/movie that you can visit.
