In computers, what is the three-digit number used in the error messaging system?

the question make no sense 404 is page not found error in a web browser. computers create errors with different numbers dependent on the error the computer experienced.

This question needs to je improved. "In computers" is very vague and misleading. It should say at least something like "in internet browsers" or "in HTTP protocol".
