I live very close to Cold Mountain. I loved the book and the film adaptation was very well done. It amazes me how much Romania looks like North Carolina.

I grew up in the NC foothills and have lived in this state my whole life. It really shocked me when I found out the movie was filmed in Romania! (Side note: The book was better than the movie as usual. )

Briar75, I loved the book, and the movie followed the storyline very well. It's just that the pictures in your mind as you read a good book are so much better than a movie.

them up. really is a cold man. I thought it was made up by Hollywood. Renee Zellweger was very good in that. Jude law as usual is cute.
