town01, he traveled 150 miles in 135 minutes- more than 1 mile per minute (60Mph+) and doesn't account for the burger stop. Doesn't mean he was speeding during the crash but was at one point that trip.

town01, he travelled 150 miles between 3:30 and 5:45 with a stop in there for a burger and a coke. So even if he was driving for 2 hours he would have had to exceed 60 mph for at least a portion of the trip.

a strange thing is when his car was being transported across country it disappeared

They have an annual James Dean festival in his boyhood town of Fairmount IN. People visit from all over the world.

He must’ve drive about 75 miles an hr. Figured 15 minutes for burger.

He was great actor. Embarrassing of me is I never seen his films. I am 56!!!🙈🙈

I find it very odd that his mechanic was guilty for the rest of his life, unless he was the one driving?? Plus in the documentary James Dean~Forever Young it notes that his mechanic installed a driver’s side seatbelt. They do say that Dean was driving, when they were pulled over the police officer said that Dean was in the passenger seat after he got the speeding ticket. That car could have been cursed because he got involved with a woman who was into the occult. I think he jilted her and she got mad and cursed his car. He was such a gifted actor. May he Rest In Peace.

It seems like Dean should have been told about any curse on his New car, seeings how much he paid for it? Which was MORE than some houses at the time. He probably didn't even have "Curse" insurance...
