Nutshell
People eat and wear insects ALL the time they just don't know it, red dye #4 (cochineal or carmine) is literally crushed beetles. It's been used in food and makeup for centuries.

Anyone eat any by-product of bees lately? That stuff is pretty tasty.

If people were asked to try a new snack and were not told they were insects/bugs they probably try it. I think if spices, or flavoring were used in the preparation one would not know the difference.

i would not purposely eat bugs. now if I didn't know I'd try it. I just don't want to know until after I eat it. ex frogs legs, calamari, alligator, rabbit, raccoon, deer. yes I've had all of those.

Actually, I read somewhere that they allow a low percentage of insects/spiders in through our produce. If this is true, we’re bug eaters, unfortunately.

Nutshell, I have lived in North Carolina all my life and never heard of that, what town does this ? Would like to know, but no thank you I do not want any of the insect food,,

Mari
you can eat some insects (mealworms and crickets) at the Audobon Insectarium in New Orleans. Insects are high in protein, but, having fried and eaten a large cockroach and finding it too crunchy, I think insects would be best made into protein powder and added to a shake

slomogeo

Player #1489294, When I was in French club in high school, I went through initiation. Part of that was to reach into a small paper bag and eat whatever was in it. I did. It was a chocolate covered ant. It was good. It tasted like chocolate covered raisins but crunchy.
