Classic book!

Fascinating filming in that the cast weren't actors; just boys volunteered into a summer of island work. Great classic film showing the barbaric nature of humanity.

I taught this book for years. I can’t go to a beach without thinking about that story. It is very powerful. The characters are strong and memorable.

This story always terrified me! Read it once and could never read it again.
