Queen Esther,
Only a very small chunk of the myths in the Judeo-Christian bible take place in only a small part of Africa.

Guess I 'll have to take your word for it not being an Arabic speaker or reader or writer.

Ali *Regulus* Mirza,
You don't need to say " I would myself" myself is superfluous ( in this case I and myself, both mean the same thing)

I went for the only Arab country in the list

By the definition of the word (at least as regards languages written in the Latin script), the word 'Libya' is, most certainly, NOT a palindrome. However, since Arabic script is cursive (letters are joined, following certain rules), it **looks** almost the same when reflected horizontally in a mirror, especially so, in handwriting. As such, it's only an ambigram with horizontal symmetry. For example, AHA and WOW are such ambigrams, but SOS and KAYAK—also palindromes—aren't.
This app doesn't seem to support joined Arabic letters, or else I would myself have shown it written.
