I was told he moves on to the next day, not because he ends up with the girl, but because he finally learnt how to live the day right, without his arrogance and pure self importance holding him back :)

You really can't "spoil" this movie - Pretty obvious how it has to end. The plot isn't much different from day to day life as it is. Many, if not most, folk
live days sadly similar to the one before. Every once in a while, we have a moment of clarity & enlightenment that gives us reason to love and appreciate life.

Love this movie! It was filmed in Woodstock, Ill, a small town with a charming town square and courthouse. I've driven past the B&B used in the movie when I visit my friend who lives in town. Metra trains go there from Chicago--makes a nice day trip.

Phiend99, It had to be a lot more than a couple months. He went from total noob to serious pianist for one.

raad816, 30 YEARS??? I don't think it went on that long! Maybe 1-2 months, but 30 years would be over 10,000 times. That's just ridiculous.

Being from Western Pennsylvania, one of my favorite holidays is Groundhog Day. No gifts to wrap, no cooking or baking, no decorating, no visiting. It heralds the Spring. Unfortunately, a boon in the amount of people crowding into Punxy has caused overcrowding for the events. There’s a fair amount of drunken revelatory. We always got a day off from school on Groundhog Day whenever it fell on a weekend.

Narimen, I never knew that but it makes sense, considering all of the things he learned to do and he memorized what all of those people did. thanks for the info.
