The house they filmed the movie was the next street over so their back yards were back to back. They were paid very well for the use of their water and electricity. They had to have special plugs put in their home for the extra electricity. The house that the movie was filmed didn’t gave a pool so they put one in for the scenes with bodies in the pool. After filming they had a pool company finish the pool so the owners got a free pool installed in their backyard.

One of the 1st horror movies I watched as a kid. Scared me back then and the remake was so well done that it scared me, and both of my sons(who were teenagers at the time) so watching a well made, scary movie has become a family favorite. :-)

Saw this movie when I was 7 yrs old when our babysitter thought it was good idea for us little kids to watch a horror movie. We all had nightmares and our parents were so furious because the babysitter thought it was a good idea.
