The Beach Boys first sang together in their home state of Arkansas. It was only later that they moved to California and wrote and sang "Surfer Girl" and other surfing songs which were wildly popular. What's hilarious is that none of them did well at surfing! But, boy, did we love their songs and their unique harmony. Their songs were featured in the movie "The Navigator."

RedFork2012, The Beach Boys had no connection to Arkansas. The Wilson boys grew up in Huntington, CA, Mike Love was from Hawaii, and Al Jardine hailed from Ohio. And, at least one of them could surf.

Little Rock is my cousins nickname. He got that name because he is smaller than all kids in his school and he has a lot of disabilities, but we pray that he will be in our lives forever and we won't see him cry or dead in our hands. He is the most funniest kid that I knew.

I have lived in Ar. my whole life. Southeast Ar. is flatland, farms and very boring. Northern Ar. has mountains and very beautiful! I live in Hot Springs now and it's definitely middle ground!

Player #26866286, Hope is KNOWN for the watermelon festival each year. Yes it’s also known for other things but I didn’t learn about the mines until I was older. Went to that festival since I was 1 and I’m now 30 and still go.
Rubbed me the wrong way too. It is false to say what a state is “known for” or “not known for” that’s an opinion based on experience..
