Read most of the Tarzan series in high school. Still prefer the John Carter of Mars series. Just listened to the first four books on tape a while ago and it was like reuniting with an old and dear friend. Epitomizes the warrior ethos -- honor and duty above all.

I have liked all the Tarzan's! The most recent one, pictured, is with Alexander Skarsgard. I like how different versions accent different issues Tarzan dealt with. Moves from just entertainment to political commentary.

when we were kids, I was the best Tarzan, of course. Johnny Weismueller was an awesome Tarzan. on a different note, my wife's mother dated Johnny. small world. yes, I'm that old lol

Nels, I enjoyed the John Carter series as well. I haven't checked lately, but a few years ago, you could only get a few of the books on audio. I did download the whole series with some beautiful illustrations on the cheap

Loren, I "done" .... No, no, no. " I did"....And who cares if you did a project on it. BTW, why do some need to announce they "Got that one right" ... Does that mean when we don't hear from you, we should assume you are busy getting them wrong?? On the other hand, I often enjoy reading some of the entries from quizzers as they can be profound, synical, dry, informative and/or really funny. I love Quizzland.

Nels, I, too, read the Carter series but one finished with a tower room turning and closing. And the books were all out of print! . It was three years before I finally found the sequel in Hammersmith Underground and learned what had happened.
