i know lots of "trivia" about flowers. In most coloring companies, i.e. Crayola, Rose Art, etc. when using the color word "orchid" it is associated with a light colored purple.

orchids are my favorite flower. I always thought orchids were purple / orchid. Now I know they come and whites, pinks, greens and other colors. to me they are all beautiful!

Purple is a BAD answer, particular in light of the “tint.” Purple is a secondary color of blue-red. Orchid, as a design color, is closer to CKMY magenta.
