Just a guess on my part. I love to catch a glimpse of them while walking in the woods.

Growing up in SW Minnesota, our house was located on the edge of town. We owned five acres of prairie land and often times ring-necked pheasants would pass through our yard to head back into the prairie grass where they often times had their nests. They were always so fun to see. So beautiful and we felt lucky to have them close to us.

Why is pheasant the only fowl which is prepared for consumption "under glass"....what does that mean? I don't know anything about cooking.
