Not many think about the musical theme of Taxi, a song named Angela by Bob James.Two things--a pensive jazz opening totally belied the fact that a comedy was about to come on, very unusual. Also, I went to a Bob James concert in NYC during that era, and by any measure, James put on a masterful show. Everything about Taxi was well considered.

Christopher Loyd also played Doc Brown in the Back to the Future movies, and Uncle Festus in the Adams Family movies, among others!
Also Danny De Vitos wife Rhea Perlman appeared in several Taxi episodes, and later as Carla on Cheers!

I like that show because of Andy Kaufman,and Jed Hirsch.It was a very great show of back then it was aired on TV.
