Correct answer: Jackie Gleason
Vina Vandervierf
when I was in high school living in Hialeah,Florida,a friend of mines father ran the pro shop at the Doral Country Club in Miami. my friend asked me if I would help him caddy for some guys early one Saturday morning. So I did. We got to pro shop and drank some coffee. His dad after a time said the men were going to be here shortly and to walk on out to the first tee and take their clubs with us. Finally heard them coming but could not see them till they walked around the high hedges that grew there.
We about crapped ourselves..it was Jackie Gleason and Bob Hope. The entire 18 holes they had checkbooks out betting each other how they could drive the ball farther or get to the green on less strokes. We had a ball listening to them and the jokes and bets.
We each got a $500.00 tip and I saw Bob Hope twice while over in Vietnam in

FaithfulReader, OMG this was a comedy. Nowadays snowflakes get upset at everything that was standard back then. Sesame Street back then is not appropriate now. We knew the difference between acting and real life......we were not retards like most are today. It was entertainment. .... get over it.

People say that honeymooners promoted violence. Ralph would never hit Alice. He loved her and would never hurt her.

Sad people can’t even play a game without criticizing someone’s grammar, spelling, or opinions. Just keep it to yourself if all your out to do it tear others down.

SybilDorsett, So I guess you majored in rude in school. You have done well. People today are extremely sensitive. This is a tough world and those who think every word is meant to offend them need to toughen up. Now they want the law to be the Mommy and Daddy to make people say things that aren't going to hurt their whittle feelings. Headed for diaster if it keeps ☝

Vina Vandervierf, Have you listened to any of his music?
Especially his Christmas music. It is without a doubt, the softest, loving rendition of the classics.. Instrumental only. These are timeless.

Ralph was brash and pushy, and said how he felt. The Honeymooners lived in New York. This show is a perfect reflection of New Yorkers in the 1950s. Even today, most New Yorkers don't mince words.

TangiKeyser, couldn't have said it better myself.
Bugs Bunny, Donald Duck, Popeye, etc. are too violent now. Hogwash.
