The Pizza Margherita was first produced in which Italian city?

I remember a a young man watching small tankers from Napoli coming to our province of Avellino in order to fill up with spring water for pizza making. It makes such a difference to the finished article. If you make your own pizza, try using bottled spring water.

I spent 3 weeks vacation in Naples and the numbers of pizzarias are astronomical. They put a whole lot of olive oil on the top,, along with baby octopus or spinach leaves and such.

Pikey Mick, pfft you should make your own if you think it’s a rip off. I think it’s a lovely base for many a great tastes yum I’ve had pizzas with potato, pumpkin, egg & ricotta .. your only limited by your imagination & what’s in the cupboard.
