I can't quite put my love for Peter Pan into words. One other interesting thing about it: the Lost Boys were babies who got abandoned by their mothers in London/our world, and taken to Neverland (by fairies I believe, don't remember for sure). And Peter Pan was the first of these, so Fairies raised him ♡ Sort of melancholic but it just makes the stories that much richer.

Robin was a god among men. Amazing actor. He will be missed.

GinormousAssent, I watched Mary Martin play Peter Pan on TV. I was babysitting a neighbors children & we watched it together. It was excellent & we all enjoyed it.

My only child, my son was absolutely mad on Peter Pan. I’ve forgotten the amount of times he watched the film and listened to me read the story over and over as an infant. He desperately wanted the Peter Pan outfit and one year asked for it in his letter to Santa. Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough money at the time to buy an official outfit. So, my husband being quite creative made him the whole outfit including felt hat with a feather. He even made the suede soft shoes and whittled a wooden dagger (child friendly of course). I’ve never forgotten the look on my boys face when he opened his present. I don’t think he wore anything else for over a month. I had to keep washing it when he went to sleep. 😄 Not forgetting dancing around to all the songs from the movie. So I guess Peter Pan brings back many happy memories for me. I was relieved when he preferred Star Wars because it gave me a rest. 😅

There's a show called "ONCE" and it has a great twist on the Peter Pan story.... along with tons of other fairy tales! Anyone who likes these things should check it out!🧚‍♀️
