In the notes it says the disease did not stop him becoming a celebrity without really defining the disease . The hyperplasia mentioned is normally a more localised condition from what I understand . It is much more likely a pituitary hormone malfunction. It doesn’t mention whether he had any signs of acromegaly other than his extreme height
