Watching Tom getting shot out of a bottle of soda, into outer space, back to the exact same spot, land on his head, shake it off, and chase Jerry with a broom isn't the same as watching a kid shoot a Cop and see every body part graphically fly out of his body.

That's when cartoons were suitable for kids Times have changed now.. cartoons show violence.

mighty mouse was one of my favorite shows along with Heckle and Jeckle!

AtavisticCentaur6626, same here!! I loved it and Captain Caveman!! My old boy, Snicker Doo, a miniature dachshund, I always thought looked kinda like Mighty Mouse and I used to sing the phrase while handing him to my hubby...hehe!

I remembered this from having watched the show as a kid, but Andy Kauffman using it in his act (RIP Andy) sure helped.

cartoons like everything: some for younger, some for older kids...
