LoonyHydra80, assuming you mean Rev Robert Wilkins (I don't know a Ray) the two songs have very similar names but are different songs entirely. Muddy Waters song "Rollin' Stone" is actually his rendition of "Catfish Blues" which is an old Delta Blues song. (I absolutely LOVE Muddy Waters!)

I mixed sound for Muddy Waters at a late-night gig in London in about 1971. When we arrived at the venue we were surprised to find four brand new Ampeg amplifier stacks already on the stage as a gift from Mick Jagger and the Stones. Talk about gratitude and attribution.🙂

In a previous question the original name was given as The Rollin’ Stones and apparently changed to The Rolling Stones by a record company
