In which country do parts of Hadrian's Wall still remain?
Correct answer: Great Britain
Nutmeg
Still seems to be some confusion here. Great Britain = England, Scotland and Wales. United Kingdom = as above + N. Ireland. British Isles = as above + Ireland, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. Canada is part of the British Commonwealth, as are many other ex colonial countries, but they are not part of the GB or UK. Hope this helps

Great Britain is not a country.
Michelle, it is not the same. GB is the island which comprises the island of england, wales and scotland, UK includes northern ireland.
Dan Maughan
Great Britain/The United Kingdom is not a country but made up of four separated countries. Hadrians wall separates England and Scotland. No debate.
Andy
Gary-Melb Aust, if you're going to be that precise, it's actually in England.

Uninitialized, My sister and her husband walked the path of the wall a couple of years ago. Not an easy stroll; rough paths and took several hard days (5 maybe?) but they loved it when all was said and done.

It’s like the wall in GoT to keep the white walkers away LOL...
geordie - central
I live around 50 metres north of it. My first school was called 'milecastle' and my high school had the valum (trench in front of the wall) in its grounds. I think I take it a little for granted.

First of all, “Great Britain” is an island, not a country. Second, it is located in the country of England which forms part of the island.
Hattie
Great Britain is not a country! Hadrian’s Wall is in England.

Great Britain is not a country. The answer is Scotland
Cuthbert
Dan Maughan, Hadrian's Wall lies solely in England and does not separate England from Scotland. The border between these countries does not follow the wall. Wallsend on the eastern end lies approximately 60 miles from the border.

Player #50531971, Great Britain/UK is not a country. Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland(Ireland), England are counties on their own accord. As the answer was Great Britain, it should have asked which Union

Dan Maughan, what would you call it then if it isn't a country?
Player #50531971
Little Saint, yeah, it's just semantics. this is how Brits look at it, but the rest of the world sees the UK as the country, the smaller divisions more like Canada's provinces or Spain's regions. why? UK has one rep at the UN, one rep at the G7, sends one group to the Olympics. when economic or epidemiological data is listed for all the countries in the world, UK is listed.
