Who played “Clancy” in "The Man From Snowy River"?

Awesome movie, scenery, and soundtrack. It was thrilling to see Tom Burlinson's character (Jim Craig) ride a horse straight down the mountain. The character of Clancy was an old friend of Jim's father and defended Jim against some unfair accusations.

one of my all time favorites. the chase scene at the end was awesome.

[bobbo16], Clancy was the sort of mentor to young Craig. an experienced horse hunter and herder he was well known and respected by everyone, especially Harrison. at the end, before the chase, Clancy joins the muster to recapture Harrison's prized horse and insists Craig be included when Harrison didn't want him along, giving young craig a chance to prove himself. a key character and a key moment in the film.
