Yeah, we called some of them "aggies" (which undoubtedly came from "agates") but our marbles were all glass. They did have a cool wave of color thru them. I think the aggies were the clear ones with that color wave in them.

yeah the boys from the army married quarters estates used to come to school with ball bearings dad brought home from the local RCT base. the fad wore off then it was ball bearings and catapults !!.No nanny state health and safety back then..oh the carnage at the local scrap heap on a weekend.. inevitably banned along with clackers.!.now back to the gentle game of pot marbles.. ; ) ; )
