Vinyl records are far from extinct!

Lumberjax47
Born in the USA, baby!! Saw him in Germany when I was stationed there. Just a lot of fun!

Player ninaraewln
There has been no extinction of vinyl or cassettes, I happen to still have both and just last week was browsing in a used record store. I know it shows my age, but I prefer vinyl.

I'm old school, but I prefer vinyl. And, more and more titles are becoming available in vinyl. I am 63, and still have every vinyl album that I ever bought- probably more than two hundred.

I'd like to point out that "digital sound" does not have "superior quality" at all. Sound is one continuous wave. A digital recording is, basicly, recorded in "blocks". I can't see how "blocks" of sound are superior to a soundwave.

yep. science has proven that the binary nature of digital is stressful/tiring to the brain. give me vinyl & real instruments recorded, no synthesized.

Vinyl production of commercial artists in huge, , extinct' is definitely the wrong word to use

BBVISION66
VINYL will always be the best in sound quality. The "death" in 1990 wasn't true.
since 2007, vinyl has steadily sold above and beyond the CD, MP3 & any other digital source today.
Sometimes old school is better.😎🎶

they do scratch easily, easier than a vinyl record. that is a complete lie that they do not scratch. vinyl sounds a lot better, those 2 reasons alone are why they're making a huge comeback

Sales of vinyl records far exceeded CDs in 2022. Vinyl sales topped $1.2 billion VS CDs with $483 million. So, record producers lied, and so did Rolling Stone. I canceled my subscription when I heard my first CD. I knew they'd lied.

Player ninaraewln, I remember 8 tracks, vinyl and cassettes along with CDs, but MP3s in the digital age are way more convenient. Nothing wrong with nostalgia, though. :)
