nimblemoon, I think they were teasing you! A napkin aka serviette, is a small cloth to protect clothing and wipe the mouth during meals. A diaper in US English is called a nappy in England. It was once called a napkin, but not in maybe 100 years!!

nimblemoon, in UK a napkin can be either a serviette or what in the US is called a diaper. When it's for a baby we call it a nappy to save confusion!

Player BARTEMAEUS 10, the lady maybe talking of the Material , they use, in uk, we mainly used Terry Toweling, as Soft for Babies, the US may use different Material for their babies , before Ready made Nappies, like Pampers, the other cloth used with Babies is a Musling Cloth to wripe around their Face, they may use that instead for Their Diapers,

A sad thing is, is a Diaper or a Nappy are all Plastic nowadays, and we have HUGE Mountains of them all over the world. Bring back Terrys Nappies, because they are cloth and can be washed and used again and again.
