Oh! I never knew it was a specific dance, I always thought it was a Southern US term for a debutant ball. Like a rite of passage for a young girl. I obviously was not raised in the south... but I'm always excited to learn something new!

I had to learn square dancing at my gym in school. Hated it because it was just another time people had to choose who to be with and I was always picked last or close to it. Maybe it would have been better in France.
