I love Elvis and his music. He was a very gorgeous man (before the drugs). Wish he was still alive. I definitely would have seen him in concert. Mat he rest in peace, and happy to be reunited with his parents. Especially his mother who he dearly loved so much. Xo to the king of rock n roll forever n always!

You should listen to Big Mamma Thorntons version of "Houndog" makes the Elvis version sound a bit tame, but I am a big Elvis fan.

ThreeToedFish86757, Read it the other day Andy Kauffman (Comedian) did an impersonation of him,
the article states Elvis liked Andy’s mimicking of him, the King thought it was hilarious.

I tend to believe Elvis like others have in them to uphold an image, a persona. The public has expectations of these artist. Elvis is no different, than others (and for that matter us,) His aim was to please his fans. Drugs wasn’t so much the thing but him gaining weight (eating un healthy food) prescription meds, tiredness, stress (I heard he had a bad cold, at the time) Today an artist may eat better, rest and exercise, however things still happen, when I hear him sing spiritual songs, I do see him comforted by this, as a little boy and a preteen I see photos of him and his mom going to church. He did do sacred music in his concerts but people demanded his regular Rock and Roll. I believe he is in a better place and with a better body, no more overweight, no more tiredness and not worn, he is probably singing newer songs and no he is no longer feels the pressure to be singing for the crowds. Every artist and us too should always strive or evolve to the new, fresh or learning (by the way I like this game) When I do well in this game, makes me do a little jig or gyration in the shower, LOL!

HellaciousUndead5433, He could really sing. unlike so many so called singers today. And I heard he was generous too. One night he was out walking and saw an elderly couple admiring a car in a showroom. They were obviously poor. He asked them if they liked it and went in and bought it for them.
