Redwood trees are adaptable and grow in a diverse amount of places. Such in Medford Oregon I saw a few of these trees planted older neighborhoods. They have been there for decades and as far south in a suburb in San Diego, California

Player #25874027, Yes, the new trees grow along side the old growth. You will see new trees growing up around a giant dead stump called the mother tree, and these trees were at least 2000 years old when they died
