This movie was filmed in Juliette, Ga where the Whistle Stop Cafe was then and is still today. It is known for their fried green tomatoes as well. I’m not sure about the facts above but I live in Juliette and it is what put this tiny little spot on the map.

I've eaten at the Whistle Stop Cafe that was used for filming in Georgia. It was really fun being "on set" and eating in the same place I used to watch onscreen as a kid. Cool memory!
