With grit and determination he practiced non violence and brought the British to their knees, leading to India’s independence in 1947. Great soul! It is said that his command over English language was fantastic and even the British had to look up words in dictionary, when he spoke.

My Dad said that Ghandi would not have been successful against other colonial powers. They would all have just been shot down. The character and culture of the English prevented wholesale.
