Very poor use of English in first paragraph. The term "Dam Busters" refers to the squadron specifically. The bomb itself went thru a number of designs before the "bouncing bomb" name was given.

Bird Brain 007, Indeed. The official name of the bomb he designed specifically for Operation Chastise was 'Upkeep'. He went on to design 'Tallboy' and 'Grandslam' later in the war which were used to finally sink 'Tirpitz' after 25 unsuccessful missions.
