UnholySurfer27497, Benjamin Franklin could not possibly have stolen the idea from Nikola Tesla, because Franklin died about 70 years before Tesla was born.

kjbkjb58, It's not that black inventors, scientists, programmers, & physicists, haven't also made significant contributions throughout history, but aside from G.W. Carver's peanut butter (not even his most important work) many of their discoveries are SO complex they're either difficult to understand, or to state simply in trivia questions. For instance, ever hear of James Gates, the brilliant black theoretical physicist who came up with Superstring Theory? Didn't think so.

FunkyMonkey, Tesla wanted to make electric energy free of cost for all people, but Americans would never alowed that, ‘cause they wouldn’t be able to charge it, even today.

Lightning does not necessarily strike the lightning rod, rather the rod attracts electrons from the atmosphere and earths them so that the lightning does not strike.

Franklin did not patent any of his inventions. "That as we enjoy great Advantages from the Inventions of others, we should be glad of an Opportunity to serve others by any Invention of ours; and this we should do freely and generously."

bambulica, stop taking cheap shots at Americans or this country. It never caught on because he wanted to transmit electricity wirelessly which had significant roadblocks, not to mention being very unhealthy and dangerous.
