I've loved Charlie Chaplin since way back! Watching him takes away your worries even if only for a short while. He's incredibly hilarious! I remember reading a quote of his that stuck with me 'cuz it was so sad: "I always like walking in the rain, so no one can see me crying." 👑 😢

Charlie Chaplin's has been the greatest influence of what we see in film and the movie industry. We never see an artist create and infueance a new art form that reached an entire planet a hundred ago and hundreds of years from now

He came from very hard beginnings & man how he persevered & became a grand success. What a marvel. I love the snippet used in Paulo Nutini’s song Iron Skye from his movie The Great Dictator. So on point, so poignant.

My all-time favorite Chaplin scene is in Modern Times where he is strapped in a chair and forced to help test an automatic feeding machine for workers. It is just a work of genius.

What a great entertainer. I believe there is a memorial / commemorative plaque in a park where he was apparently born.
