I was a child my dad took us children x3 to the railway bridge at the top end of our street. It was a busy line headed for London Bridge station. We said goodbye to a lot of steam trains. I missed the sound of them . The electric of course were all ready running . They had some special runs of the flying Scotsman It was fast for a steam train and well known running from London to Scotland.
