The people spreading hate and divisiveness on this GAME are disgusting. Do us all a favor and drink a nice tall glass of shut the f#@$ up.

I'd love to visit it someday. For the history and architecture. Leave religion out of it.
Anty
It is a Christian Orthodox Church. Built by Vyzantines and the Turks transform them to mosque. The city was called Constantinoupole.
Spyhawk
Hagia Sophia, despite that has been converted to a mosque after the fall of Constantinoupoli, it should have been referred as church (Greek orthodox). In any case even today it's not a mosque but a museum.
Hugo
Hagia Sophia is the best historical place (site) in Istanbul. It is unique mix of museum, church and mosque! ♥️

It was built as a Christian church and was the centre of orthodox Christians. It was converted into a mosque by the Ottomans.

Muslims are not our enemies. Ignorance and idolatry by blindness, certainly are. Breathe deeply and smarten up. You'll live better.

Initially it was a pagan temple. Then when Christianity started spreading they changed it as a cathedral and when Islam took over it became a mosque. Nevertheless, It’s a wonderful piece of a architecture and it’s high time people leave d religion out of it and cherish it as monument/museum

This non secular museum is a wonderful expression of the realization that we humans must respect and honor our differences. The curators of the museum have been uncovering the prior Christian mosaics that were covered with stucco when it was converted to a mosque.
This shows that this traditionally Muslim county is respectfully honoring the values of all the religious expressions represented in the history of this amazing building.

Flying Cookie
Agia Sofia WAS a church, partially destroyed by Turkish people, COULD BE a respectful museum and now IS also a mosque as if they had no other place to pray.
Please stop calling greek people racists and discourage them to leave religion aside the game etc. It has to do with the lack of respect towards our heritage, identity and beliefs and this is something to be told.

IT'S TOTALLY UNRESPECTFUL THE SYMBOL OF GREEK ORTHODOX RELIGION HAGIA SOFIA/"ΑΓΙΑ ΣΟΦΙΑ",TO BE REFERRED AS MOSQUE.
TURKEY SHOULD PRIORITIZE THE ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF GREEK GENOCIDE (INCLUDING THE PONTIC GENOCIDE) THAT COMMITTED.
THE GENOCIDE HAD VICTIMS 1 MILLION INNOCENT CHRISTIAN GREEKS.
REMINDER:
GREEKS WERE EXISTING IN ASIA MINOR FOR 3,000 YEARS.
NOT ONLY FROM THE FALL OF CONSTANTINOPLE (INSTABUL).

I am wondering about the Latin Empire .
Latin was the language of the Romans and by the time this answer is referring to the Roman Empire was long gone .
Do they mean the Holy Roman Empire, which is a different thing entirely?
I'm the best
