Player #3453966, I had severe bruxism and would gnaw thought hard and soft night guards. Turns out my problem was my upper jaw was too small and had to be surgically corrected. Good-bye, bruxism!

ComicalPegasus108, Tell me about it.I have it,I ended up getting my teeth removed and getting dentures at age26. My dentist thinks it might be from extreme stress. My father was very abusive to my mother and us kids.Im 54years old and my jaw still hurts from this condition.Im on pain killers because of this.besides my jaw hurting all the time I have horrible headaches.

Bruxism is linked to TMJD too. Most people who suffer this are more likely to suffer Jaw problems too. TMJD is awful.

Player #166930, Michael Sealy has a YouTube meditation for bruxism. really helps when falling asleep to listen with earplugs. I've found tension from unresolved issues to play a major effect on episodes. Sorted through those with therapy and more awareness really helped 👍

I have this. It led to biting my cheeks and lips so badly, they bleed. Now the dentist said they are so scarred, that they stand out, so I just bite them more. Thinking of a night guard just to protect them.

Boy, do I know it! I have to wear a mouth guard at night to prevent it. My teeth were getting really worn down. Stress can be a factor, but so can a misaligned bite.

DONNA-Indiana Real Lady, The mandible joint is just beneath the ear. Often times people have terrible ear pain and think it's an ear infection, when actually, it's TMJD or TMJ Syndrome from bruxism. It happened to me.

Dentist identified my bruxism and prescribed a night guard but the very idea made me gag so I put it off and put it off. When I finally gave in and got one, I was shocked to see how ok it felt and how quickly I got used to it. If you need one, don't delay. Its not that big a deal and you can lose teeth without it.

In rabbits, bruxing means gently grinding their teeth, which they do when they are very content, like while being pet; it's like how they purr. :) In contrast, loud and forceful teeth grinding is a sign that bunny is in pain.

I love this game so much. It’s so educational and I learned a lot. When I go to the dentist, he always tells me that I must have grind my teeth during sleep, and I denied such thing because while asleep I may not aware of myself grinding it. I thought the dentist is lying and trying to rip money off of me. Now I know he’s telling the truth about me feuding during sleep, and though he never used the “medical term” I now know what I suffer referred to.
