When I first saw this movie when I was 5 in 1959, I fell in love with Dorothy, Glinda the good witch and the wicked witch. I had to see every year. When they had a showing in the theaters I had to see that as well! Truly a classic!!!

Wonderful film, a classic and I love it, but I think almost every actor in it must have been made pretty uncomfortable by the costumes and makeup. So thanks to them for enduring that to create such a gem for us.

The WIZARD OF OZ is my favorite movie. The studio she work for turned her into an addict at a young age. She was a little pugy so the studio fed her stimulants to have her lose weight. If you ever seen Meet Me In St Louise she is so skinny and sickly looking. Back then their were no laws protecting child actors and the studios took fill advantage; long hours, feeding them drugs and they also bound her breasts to make her appear young. Her singing voice was different than most but beautiful as well. Her life was very dad. She died of a drug over dose at a young age.
